About

I find mid-century furniture worth keeping.

I'm Sawyer. Front Range Modern is me, a truck, and a trailer, working out of Firestone, Colorado. I find and sell vintage mid-century furniture, mostly 1960s American dressers, credenzas, tables, and chairs.

Most weekends I'm at estate sales, auctions, and private sales somewhere between Fort Collins and Denver. Over the years I've gotten good at spotting the makers who built furniture to last, names like Broyhill, Lane, and Dillingham, along with the Danish teak that came over in the sixties. I pass on most of what I find. The pieces I bring home are the ones I'd be glad to keep myself.

I'm a dealer, not a workshop. I clean each piece, tighten what's loose, wax the drawers, and take care of small repairs, but I leave the original finish alone. A sixty-year-old walnut dresser holds up better than most furniture you can buy new at the same price, and I'd rather you see it for what it is than dress it up. I write the condition the way it is, flaws and all, so nothing catches you off guard at pickup.

Most of my pieces sell on Facebook Marketplace to people around the Front Range. This site is where you can look at them properly, with real photos and the full details. There's only one of each, so if you see something you like, send me a message.
